We definitely live “the joy is in the journey.” We play music, tell silly stories, stop for fun snacks, rock-paper-scissor (yes, I'm using it as a verb) to see who gets the bathroom first if it’s a one stall joint ;)
We love to travel with our family and use walkie talkie’s to tell jokes from car to car. You HAVE to swim in the pool if you stay at a hotel – and there is usually water volleyball or Marco Polo involved.
We've been to Niagara Falls (it is truly beautiful!). Got to tour DC, where we went to the Library of Congress, Smithsonian Museum, White House and the Washington Memorial. Adventured in California. Visited family and friends in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Minnesota (where we got to play in snow! That's a big deal for a Texan.) We love doing weekend trips to Six Flags Fiesta TX, Fredricksburg museums, Christian Conferences and long weekends to the beach.
Everywhere we go we try to fill our time up with memory-making activities. Ice cream cones, feeding seagulls, famous restaurants, riding bikes, going to zoos, amusement parks, landmarks etc. We try to make sure to fill our vacation with lasting memories.
